GENERAL CONDITIONS Some points regarding the Payment and Reservation Policy

In Kawsay, we want your travelling experience to be unforgettable, fulfilling, transforming. We’d like you to enjoy and let be touched by this intense country. In order to achieve this, we commit ourselves to always be open to communication and suggestions that may come from you, as a way to improve our service and the quality of our suppliers. For Kawsay, it is very important to maintain a sincere, clear communication with you.

We want to have flexibility as one of our main virtues; however, there are certain basic points related to the Payment and Reservation Policy, we feel must be cleared in order to avoid any upcoming misunderstanding. Please, take some time to read them before you make a reservation, and needless to say, if you have any doubt or question, we will gladly answer them! One question we have received many times is why we charge cancellation penalties. We explain it here: When a reservation is made, we incur in some administrative expenses (working hours, communications costs, etc.), as well as business agreements with the suppliers we work with. Our supplier commits himself to reserve the place for our client, but Kawsay (and, thus, the client) commits to, in the event of a cancellation, pay a certain amount of money for the sales the supplier didn’t make effective when blocking spaces. Therefore, cancellation charges cover administrative expenses and pay the suppliers that also charge cancellation penalties. Kawsay doesn’t obtain any profit of all this. Periods of time and percentages established for the cancellation expenses are standard in the market and have been elaborated keeping in mind the deadlines our suppliers work with.

Communication on time

An important number of our programs take place in hidden, far-off places of the country, and have direct contact with indigenous communities. The way of thinking and seeing the world, as well as their perception of time are different. Our clients must bear in mind that these different lifestyles must be accepted and embrace the these differences that enrich us in several ways.

This trip is your dream. Kawsay’s team is here to make it come true. Be sure you that you have made the right choice in order for us to satisfy it in the best way possible. Being positive, sincere and communicative is the best attitude to adopt, and it will encourage our staff to always do their best and respond to your wishes and needs in a positive, effective way. This said we strongly recommend to transmit on time any wishes and difficulties that you could be experiencing to our staff. Please do not wait until the end of the circuit to express doubts, suggestions or criticism.

Respect for the Environment

For us, respect for the environment is fundamental. Earth is our home and we have to look after it and honour it. Earth is also the generous Pachamama, Mother Earth is the loving one that fulfils our lives with abundance and protection. She is a part of us and we are a part of her.

We please ask for your collaboration in the task of caring for the environment and preserving it from all sorts of pollution. Your suggestions and comments on this will be welcome. Please ask our guides before doing anything that may have an impact on the environment.

Respect nature and culture and our dreams will prevail in time.
